A71 won't charge unless restarted

[Android Central Question]

Not all the time but quite often I have to restart my A71 to get it to charge. Does anyone know of a software issue with charging? I don't believe it's the cable, it's a new cable and I've tried others. I can leave it plugged in, not charging, then restart it and it will start charging.

Anyone got any ideas ?

You've tried different cables, have you tried a different charger? They do go bad.

Sometimes software glitches pile up, just like on a windows PC. A fresh installation cures many ills.

Was charging port wet ?
