I've been using AA on my Pixel XL in my 2015 VW with MIB II audio system for about two months now.*
The most persistent problem I have is the starting of media playout via AA. *By "media" I mean any type of content including Google Play Music, Pandora, or podcasts via PocketCast. *Among other problems with each source, the one problem all sources share is that playout never starts on its own from a new source, and then never starts on the first try to start it manually (i.e. pressing the "Play" icon). *Even allowing for a buffering delay due to the phone's data connection, the start of playout requires at least two, sometimes three, presses of "Play" to start the audio. This is not sporadic, it's consistent.
Once a source has begun playing, I can pause, restart or change content on the same source with no problem.
To narrow down the problem, I tried the same three media play requests on AA running standalone on my phone (i.e. without connection to my car system). *All three began playout after the request with no additional input from me.*
Does anyone recognize this issue and have a suggestion?
