Short of putting a d-brand sticker on the back, are there any thoughts of what might be the thinnest clear/semi-transparent case possible (S8+)? I have the speigen liquid crystal right now, nice but too thick.

I got one from Best Buy from their insignia brand for $19.99. Not sure you can get any thinner. In fact its too thin for my liking and I swapped it with a spigen neo hybrid.

Decided to mic the Insignia. The height is 9.95mm vs 10.5mm on the Ringke. The overall thickness of the insignia is 1.1mm. Both seem to be about as thin as possible but the Ringke is half the price.

As others have suggested, I would say Ringke. They have been my go-to thin case since the S6 edge. Remember that with such a thin case, you lose some protection.

I got the Ringke Flex-S and it's not thin at all (edge wise) I had the Obliq Slim on my S7Edge and loved it. The ringke covers the Edge too much, and it takes me 2 or 3 tries to get edge panel to slide out. Bought it for $4.99 so no biggie, but looking elsewhere as well. I'll probably try Obliq's slim meta again or spigen slim, which is supposed to be .4 vs .5 on the Ringke.

+1 for the Samsung clear protective cover, very thin. Got mine from T-Mobile store so should be available on other carrier store or best buy

any of you know which cases fit the VR? I just put in my 3rd screen protector and if I don't take out my case and put it back on at an angle the freaking screen protector peels off. I don't wanna go trough that every time I want to use the gear VR.
