Access menus during a call on Samsung Galaxy Note 3?

Hi there,
I have this phone for a few weeks now and I can't seem to find how to do this...
I need to be able to access my S-Planner or contacts while on a call to someone but I can't find how to do this...
Any suggestions?

OK, I found out how to do it!
You need to press and hold the HOME button until the running apps are displayed and choose the "S-Planner" or any other running app.
Use the same press and hold technique with the HOME button to get you back to the "phone" app to end the call.
Hope that helps someone else
