Accidental Screen Touches whilst on a Call

[Android Central Question]

So I noticed, 50% of the calls I make, when I look at the screen, I am either in contacts or the Bluetooth menu.

For some reason my screen is coming on when I have the phone up against my face making a call. I have tried it with both accidental screen touches turned on and off. I have tested the sensor and it seems to be working. Tested it by placing my fingers over the camera when in a call. I have the original Samsung screen protector the phone came with so should be an issue there.

Anyone experienced this or fixed it without downloading and using another app?
