Android Central Question

Please help. The other day I got a text message saying I won a Walmart gift card for $1000. Now, usually I'm not this stupid, but I just got the pch app not that long ago and was signing up for a lot of stuff and thought maybe this was connected lol my bad. I clicked it, did a quick survey and entered in my email address. When it got to the point of entering in my personal info, I finally got smart and googled what this was and surprise, a big scam.

Now I'm paranoid I got malicious stuff on my phone. I downloaded like 5 different virus scanners and did so many deep scans and everything came back clean but I'm still worried because my battery seems to be draining more fast than usual. I'm running Kaspersky now. I thought maybe the anti virus apps were making my battery drain more, but I uninetalled them and I didn't notice the battery getting better, so I installed Kaspersky again. I also have lookout because it's free with AT&T and it didn't detect anything.

Is it possible that all these scans could have missed something bad? I'm really worried there's malware on my phone racking up the phone bill and stealing my info. Please please help. I have not noticed anything else unusual except the battery. For instance, last night I went to bed and my phone was at 86%. I woke up 8 hours later and it was down to 47%. That seems to have gone down faster than it usually does.

Welcome to Android Central! It's doubtful that there's any malware that got installed to the phone. But they do have your email address and whatever other information you gave, so expect an uptick in spam and phishing emails. The main thing I'd recommend is to make sure 2-step authentication is enabled for your Google account, and perhaps change your Google password for good measure. Also consider signing up for a good identity monitoring service in case someone tries to access your accounts in an unauthorized manner.
