Hi all,

For some reason I was playing around in Settings --> Apps and thought I "stopped" the clock.
After I restarted the phone the default clock is gone. Really annoying since I use the alarm clock!
The clock app (see imgur: the simple image sharer) is gone. No widget.

How can I restore the clock or start this process again?

Thanks in advance!

Hello,

The only way you could of removed the actual stock clock is if the device was rooted. Otherwise the only other option is to disable the clock app which can be re enabled by going into Apps/Manage Apps/ then find the Clock app and re enable it.

If you go to settings-apps and swipe across you should see Disabled across the top if you don't see it back out and hit apps again. It will be after All. Scroll down to the clock app and enable it.

The device isn't rooted. But... I have after your reply I rebooted the device and then I got an extra "tab" with "disabled apps".
Tadaa!! That did the trick. Now I have to figure out how to get the widget back as I want it, but that's another story.
Thanks for acknowledging that it was not possible to "remove" the clock from my cool Nexus 4 device ;)

Thanks Paul!

Long press on your screen where you want the widget select widgets and select the one you want. Glad you found it

For some reason that took me to the point where I needed a second "reboot" of my [cool] Nexus4.
Thanks for your response. I found the Clock and hopefully it works. (in my timezone I'll test this in 8 hours ;)

Thanks all. What happend was:
* I killed the "rom" app
* rebooted the phoen
* couldn't find the "stopped" application anywhere...
* rebooted the device: Tadaa!

Thank you for the replies. These pointers helped me solving my problem!!

No problem. Glad you resolved it.

I have a similar problem with my Stock Alarm app.
I accidentally disabled it a few months back.
No, my phone is not rooted. I can't re-enable the app. It says disabled, but there is no Enable button when I click on it.
It's at 0.00B, all buttons are greyed out.
