Account Sync problems

For some reason my gmail account won't sync. All my other google account will sync fine its just gmail. I have had this problem before with the contacts and the only thing that seem to work it to reset the phone. Just wondering if anyone else has had this promblem and if there is a easy fix. Thanks.

Clear the cache in Gmail.

menu -> Settings -> Applications -> Manage Applications -> All tab Then scroll to Gmail and clear cache and data. it should re-sync after that.

Thanks I think it worked. It's syncing now.
