Re: [ACS][ROM] PhoeniX ROM 0.2

Sorry guys, but I had even more hardware failure awhile ago before I even got a chance to test the new installer. My desktop doesn't even boot now. So until I get money for parts, you'll have to stick with 0.2. All you have to do to stop the annoying update message is change your version number in /system/build.prop. For example on sprint, change all lines that say EK18 to FA19. Not sure what boost is on. I don't currently have another machine that I can continue working on, so I'm very sorry.

I've read that you can change the /cache files or /system but I seem to be missing a program/app to be able to do this. I still have the stock "My Files" which as we all know, only allows access to the SD card. Which program is best to open this accessibility?

search for root explorer on the market. There are a few free and some paid apps. I use root explorer myself, as it has a simple interface and you can do alot with it. Also, you should download terminal emulator, as that comes in handy for low level stuff.

Be careful that you don't delete anything that you are unsure of, as that will result in you having to reinstall.

Boost mobille is currently on Build GINGERBREAD.FB03.
Also, I'm willing to "donate" my phone to testing.

I don't like double posting, but I did this to (hopefully) get the attention of Boost users. For you Boost people out there, what is the latest update? According to the Samsung open source page, there are two versions: EK03 and FB03. I currently have an EK03 dump for Boost, but I own the Sprint version.

It'd be nice for both of us if someone could let me know which is the latest firmware version so that when PhoeniX 0.3 is out you aren't nagged to death about a new update.

EDIT: From the picture on the Boost web page, it also appears that your stock launcher has he "ID" icon on the bottom right instead of the browser icon. I was under the impression that the ID icon was for "Sprint ID," not a multi-carrier thing. If someone could let me know if it's there as well as the firmware version I'd be pretty grateful. I know enough to replace it with the browser icon like all other GB devices have, I'm just too lazy to decompile the app if I don't really need too.. :P

Hey I don't know if this has already been answered but I thought I could help because I just purchased a samsung replenish a few days ago and out of the box I updated to FB03. And yes the home dock bar has the mobile ID icon and app. I think its kinda lame if u ask me and I don't really use it. Also have a boost app to contact customer service or soemthing. I wish both wasn't on here tho. Hope this helps and I can't wait for phoenix 0.3!!! U guys do awesome work!!

Re: [ACS][ROM] PhoeniX ROM 0.2

Thanks for the pictures to show the launcher! I made some progress modifying mine before my processor broke, but it's kinda messed up :P The left and right dock buttons became a lighter shade of grey for some reason, and the right button still shows the ID logo, but I did manage to make it open the browser. Hopefully I can come up with the money sometime soon for a new processor, I've got about $70 right now and have been applying for more jobs. I'm going to New Jersey for a few days next week for a quick temp job too, I don't want anyone to think I've abandoned this right before a release ;)

Re: [ACS][ROM] PhoeniX ROM 0.2

Here's the launcher I'm using, it's essentially a repack of the stock launcher from the Nexus S, so it's identical to our stock launcher, save for the lack of the ID icon. I used apps2rom to integrate it into the system, so anyone would have a hard time figuring out that it wasn't stock. The only real issue is that the dock bar is a bit bigger than than the stock one, but it's not a huge issue.

Your welcome FIREHAK. Well hope things work out for u with the job and all. I would help u out but I just had to buy this phone after someone stole my previal that I loved sooo much. I wouldn't care to donate a few dollars to someone if they ever come out with a working rom for the replenish and the new update. I would certainly help if I knew what I was doing... so much work was done with the prevail. I was kinda hoping shabby wouldn't of gave up on his rom for the replenish.....I really loved shabbymod 0.9 b4 the update came out for the prevail. Good luck to u guys and appreciate the work u do and if there is anything I CAN do let me know.

I got a job offer today, and although only temporary, it's a 6 month thing and pays extremely well ;) Looks like I'll be fixing my desktop in the coming weeks and may be able to start going back to school!
