Hi, I've got an iWireless replenish with 2.3.6 and was wondering which method if any will work for it. I saw one that was an odin method on xda. Thanks
Here is the method to root your phone. http://forums.androidcentral.com/samsung-replenish/159330-root-method-samsung-replenish-android-2-3-6-a.html
I've read that you can change the /cache files or /system but I seem to be missing a program/app to be able to do this. I still have the stock "My Files" which as we all know, only allows access to the SD card. Which program is best to open this accessibility?Sorry guys, but I had even more hardware failure awhile ago before I even got a chance to test the new installer. My desktop doesn't even boot now. So until I get money for parts, you'll have to stick with 0.2. All you have to do to stop the annoying update message is change your version number in /system/build.prop. For example on sprint, change all lines that say EK18 to FA19. Not sure what boost is on. I don't currently have another machine that I can continue working on, so I'm very sorry.

Well maybe i should reply when more sober.. but somewhere either in this thread or another.. there are possible solutions to what can fix your problem. I will try to look for the thread and post in here.. I had a few problems also.. so i know what its like to have to just sit there..May some one plz help me i factory reset-ed my phone and did everything you said in the instructions and my phone keeps reset-ing.
I don't like double posting, but I did this to (hopefully) get the attention of Boost users. For you Boost people out there, what is the latest update? According to the Samsung open source page, there are two versions: EK03 and FB03. I currently have an EK03 dump for Boost, but I own the Sprint version.
It'd be nice for both of us if someone could let me know which is the latest firmware version so that when PhoeniX 0.3 is out you aren't nagged to death about a new update.
EDIT: From the picture on the Boost web page, it also appears that your stock launcher has he "ID" icon on the bottom right instead of the browser icon. I was under the impression that the ID icon was for "Sprint ID," not a multi-carrier thing. If someone could let me know if it's there as well as the firmware version I'd be pretty grateful. I know enough to replace it with the browser icon like all other GB devices have, I'm just too lazy to decompile the app if I don't really need too..![]()
