Action memo question

I saw someone earlier had action notes minimized on his desktop but partially revealed. Does anyone know how to set this up? thanks.

Open Action Memo, tap and hold the push pin icon, drag it to a home screen. It's creates an Action Memo widget on your home screen. Some have reported that its not working with some alternates launchers. I'm using stock Toichwiz so I can't comment on or verify that though.
