Activate after flashing new ROM?

This may be a silly question, but after flashing a new ROM, do you need to activate with VM again, or is your phone already activated (via the ESN) and works right away?

You should only need to use the activate app if u let ur bill lapse and lose service for a day or 2. When u get ur service back up u will likely need to reactivate. There is also the times people do something that cause them to lose 3g service but you won't do that right. BumbleBee has the app included and works to get service back or atleast it worked for me twice.

If I'm on a GB rom I would need to flash back to a rom that has the activate app then flash back, correct?

In answer to my own question, I just flashed Harmonia and my phone and texting work as they should with no activation needed.

Usually for me I can use all the functions of the phone but data. Don't know if that is normal but that's how it works for me. After activating it works again.

Data was instantly working for me as well after flashing Harmonia.
