Activating phone?

Just upgraded my phone from the nexus to the s3. Bought it in store and they insisted I needed a new sim card versus the one outta my nexus. I want to activate my nexus on my second line, which is my girlfriends phone. She currently has the DROID 2. Can this be done at home or do I have to go to Verizon store?

You'll need another sim card so you'll need to go to a store or have Verizon send you one.

Will they just give me one or do I have to take phone there?

It's best that you bring the phone with you and make sure it's working before you leave.

I tried doing that with my Maxx and to give to my wife and it didn't work. Had to make another trip to the store.
