I'm having an issue and would like it to get it resolved soon. My phone hasn't worked in a week, I have 4G LTE signal. Someone suggested that I put my SIM card into another Verizon phone and let it activate the, put the SIM card back in to my current phone. Was curious, would a factory reset fix the issue or would I be wasting my time doing that?

I have the LG V20 since it came out and I have had the same SIM card since then. I don't know why I'm getting this notification. It's annoying.

Since the phone is 8 years old, I wonder if it might have just aged out for some reason. Have you asked Verizon support about this? They might know if it's no longer supported.

Here's a thread on the Verizon community forums. Several people claimed sitting the Wi-Fi off, then rebooting the phone so that it boots up on the network only fixed it. One person said it came back, but doing a full shutdown (not just a restart) fixed it for good.

I also saw another thread where a couple people suggested trying to force stop or disable the Verizon Setup Wizard app should fix it, but didn't see any confirmation.

Verizon Setup Wizard, can't find it nowhere. How I find it? I done the steps suggested , I doubt a factory reset would fix it. Saw some posts saying people tried factory reset and it didn't fix the issue.

I no longer have a Verizon V20 to check myself. When you looked in the app manager, did you select the menu option to view system apps?

It may be possible that your phone doesn't have that app. The thread I linked to was for a different phone, and there are always differences between the various makes and models.

And you did try the Wi-Fi off/reboot suggestion with no luck?

I used to have a V20, but mine was an unlocked US Cellular version I used with both AT&T and Verizon. I never saw any carrier setup screen on mine. Unfortunately I don't have that device anymore.
