Did anyone else have this happen to them?
My phone won't stop trying to activate (circled checkmark in upper left-hand corner of notification bar will not go away). I got this phone on last Friday, April 11th. By all intents and purposes it is activated because over the weekend the circled checkmark disappeared. Then on Monday I restarted my phone and it automatically went right back into trying to activate. It will not connect to the network at all. I pulled the battery and left it out of the phone for a few minutes, put it back in and restarted the phone a second time, still wouldn't activate.
Keep in mind the phone works beautifully and it?s hella fast, an impressive upgrade from my old as heck S2. This not activating thing is more of a nuisance at this point.
I did a Factory Reset on in Tuesday night thinking that might solve the problem, NOPE!!!
I then decided to take my phone to a Sprint Repair center last night. I found out that this activation issue is not repairable and that my phone has to be swapped out for a new one. I have to bring it back to the same Best Buy I bought the phone at and they'll replace it for me. What a pain in the ****. Here's hoping that once I get the replacement phone that I don't encounter any further problems.
