Has anyone had issues with active notifications working with the latest release of the gmail application?

I cannot get any email notifications to show up. Uninstalling the last gmail update works fine though.

I am completely stock AT&T.

Thanks

Not just on the X. But I stopped getting any Gmail notifications after the last update on my Galaxy S3 as well.

Really? I know 4 people with the X and notifications have stopped.

Removing the update and all works great.

Can you check your notification options in gmail and post? I'm stumped.

I was having the same issue but after a simple "clear data" notifications seem to be working fine!

Is that clear data on the "active notifications" in apps? Just did that. Never thought of that.

Crud....still no luck.

I guess the only solution is to uninstall the update.

Go to your app drawer press and hold Gmail drag it up to "app info" and then you'll see a button to "clear data." Try that. I would suggest doing that after you update gmail. That worked for me.

No luck. It won't even show new messages in the top status bar where the att symbol is. There is clearly a bug and its even replicated on my wife's phone.

Old version works perfect..

If it doesn't show in the status bar double check this..

When inside a specific box ie.. Primary, promotional etc go up to the menu button on top right corner and hit label settings. You can control notifications for EACH box specifically and how they come across or if at all.

Mine was unchecked after update. Maybe because I didn't do the roll out. I installed from APK

I haven't been getting ANY notifications and I verified all of the check boxes are marked. I have two Gmail accounts and no dice. This has followed me from the original black X to my Motomaker X. My wife gets hers on her X. This is frustrating.
