Although my Note 4 charges just fine on my old plugs and such, the adaptive fast charging brick isn't working for me. Is there a particular reason? Am I just stupid? XD Can someone please help me with this?

Do you have the option for fast charging turned on. Check Settings>Battery

The Charger or the cord may be bad. Try another cord if you haven't already.
Otherwise try another outlet before you pronounce the charger bad.
Good Luck!

Yeah I tried the cable with another block and it worked fine. Tried the block on multiple outlets & with a different cable and it didn't work.

Sounds like the block itself might be bad -- Where did you buy your Note 4 from?

While my charger seems to work fine. I have noticed it wont pull more than 1000 ma at any given time. I was under the impression that when my battery is below 50% i should see fast charging at a rate over 1000 ma? I get 1000 ma off any decent tablet type charger, including over 50%. Yes fast charging is enabled and detected when the phone is connected to the fast charger.

Anyone else seeing this? Using "Galaxy Charging Rate lite" from the app store. Is there a better app that you guys like?

"Galaxy Charging Rate lite" is definitely a must. Found out the hard way on my note 2 that the stock samsung cords didn't allow the phone to charge at full capacity. I used some old cords with the stock charger and noticed almost double charging speeds. Also check the battery screen and make sure your charging at "AC" and not "USB".

Yeah I would call / go show them it isn't working. They should exchange it no problem :).

Yeah I wanted to avoid going in. x.x' But I can't unfortunately. Samsung wasn't particularly helpful either since I hadn't gone into the store to see if it was the charger.

How do I change it from USB to AC?

How do you change it to AC from USB?
You just use an AC charger that plugs into the wall or a USB to computer one that uses USB. It will detect what it thinks it is. If it is wrong then there is probably a problem with the cord or charger. If it never gets it right then the phone may be bad.
Good Luck!
