So, I just got my NC for my birthday and proceeded to mess with it moments after. Currently, I have it rooted, with market and all that good stuff installed.
However, when I try to install ADB it never works. I've followed the steps countless (countless = 10+) times with the same result. The main "problem" seems to happen when connected to my laptop (Sony Vaio, VGN-NW150J, running 7). It doesn't recognize the device as "Nook" under "Other Devices" like it seems to do for EVERYONE else. The only place in Device Manager that makes mention of the nook is under "Portable Devices" as "MyNOOKColor". When I go to update the driver, it says it's already up-to-date and makes mention to "WPD FileSystem Volume Driver".
I just plugged in my phone (Droid 2, rooted, Gingerbread) and, of course, my device manager detects that properly, the way it should be detecting my NC. Even did "adb devices" and it listed my phone (i think, anyway).
Is there some fix for this? If you need any more info about exactly what I have/done, just let me know.
