add ringtones for mail and sms in 10e

Greetings
Ringtones I create serve only for phone and whatsapp, and are not in the list for mail and sms.
So how do I add ringtones for mail and sms?
where are they kept?
there is an empty ringtones folder in storage\emulated\0\ but copying my ringtones doesn't help.

Glad you figured out a solution! I assume you mean you copied the sound files to the /Notifications directory, correct?
