OK, I put the Warm Z ROM on my SD card but it keeps giving me an error message when I try to install it. I'm in recovery right now and I've decided that CM7 is my favorite and I'd like to install that...but I'm an idiot and deleted it from my SD card.

So my question is: Is there a way for me to add CM7 to my SD card without flashing another ROM? Or will I need to flash a ROM, set as disk drive, add CM7, and start the process over?

Thanks!

did you do a wipe before flashing?? that might be a reason why its not installing

also, did you do a nandroid backup before trying to install Warm Z ROM?? if so, try doing a nandroid restore to get back to your previous state. this way you can add CM7 to your SD card (after setting as disk drive) and starting the whole process over

your error message is prolly in due to im assuming your using clockwork recovery? you might need to turn off check for digital signature or whatever its called...or if your using clockwork 3.0.x.x it wont work you have to downgrade to clockwork 2.x........but the best advice is to use the amon-ra 2.3 recovery...less hassles.

for your other question...you should be able to toggle on USB support while in recovery or if you power off and then hold down power + vol up...get usb support in there and have it connected to your computer and you can then transfer cm7 to your sd card and then flash it.

hope that is helpful...if not post up and you'll get some help

OrangeGTP: You're right, i'm using Clockwork recovery. I was able to flash Warm TwoPointTwo, I just presumed i'd have no problem's with Z - lesson learned!

Thanks to both of you for the responses; i definitely learned a little more tonight.

No, hook up the phone to your PC, go to mounts and storage and then mount USB storage. This will allow you to transfer files to your SD card while in recovery.

Just a tip :p

no problem...the error with clockwork was with behind the scenes updater script....if the dev of the rom hadnt updated that portion of it in his rom, clockwork wouldnt flash it without throwing error messages.

Z is an awesome rom btw..ive been running it since day 1 of release...i love it!! and rls2 of it is coming around the corner too!
