What exactly is a Dual SIM, Single SIM eSIM?
If a Android Phone is listed as a Single SIM what does that mean, does it mean the phone has only one Physical SIM and no e-SIM or does it mean it only has one Physical SIM but still has a e-SIM and Duel SIM Means 2 Physical SIMs plus a e-SIM.

I was checking out Samsung Galaxy S 22 Ultras on Reebelo and it had an option to display phones with Single SIM or Dual SIM but no option for e-SIM. My Galaxy S 22 Ultra has a Physical SIM socket and a e-SIM option, so is this considered Dual SIM or Single SIM since it only has one Physical SIM socket? Also a Galaxy S 22 Ultra I had from E-bay listed as new had Physical SIM socket and e-SIM option and so did Ultra S 20 Ultra I had at one time.

Everything I'm finding makes it out to be just as simple as it sounds.

Dual SIM - is any combination of two SIMs. Two physical, one physical/one e-SIM, two eSIMs.

Single SIM - one of either type.

eSIM - the E is for embedded, but it's also known by some as a Digital SIM.

SIM - Subscriber Identity Module, a unique digital signature that links users to devices and devices to networks and accounts.

I'm not familiar with the retailer you're visiting and how they list their devices but the S22 Ultra is a dual SIM device and from everything I can find they all are. I was not able to find a single SIM version of this device that did not have the option of an eSIM. In this case I believe someone probably mistakenly listed it as a single SIM because of the single physical slot and did not know it accepts eSIM as well.

On a side note I saw someone post that Samsung is again going the way of Apple, and plan to go all eSIM maybe as soon as the S26.
