Question Ads display when opening phone.

Hi there,
Greetings from the UK. I’m new here!
My Android phone did an automatic update last night.
Now, when I double tap to open my phone, I get random ads displaying. I then have to swipe up to view my Home Screen . Very annoying. It’s only started happening since the update.
Is there a way I can stop this happening.
Any help / advice much appreciated.

First off what phone do you have and which carrier? Second, and this is a wild guess, you said this is after an update? I'd be contacting my carrier and raising bloody hell. Could be they are the culprits.

All sorted. Just needed to disable Live Locked Screen!
