Advantages of GB update?

Can someone tell me the main differences in updating to GB through the OTA? Not that I'm not going to get it but it sucks re-doing all of the settings.

Do you have to re-download all of your apps again?

How much better is it than Froyo and why? Thanks.

Battery life suffering a good bit with the OTA GB vs the debloated Froyo I've been running since April. Not lasting all day without plugging it in like it was.

Very nice to see the GPS lock on again.

Had to reload and reconfigure all apps manually - I don't use many, so not that big a hassle. Had the contacts backed up to the SD card - that imported well. Backed up with Titanium, but since I haven't rooted again yet that backup doesn't really do me any good.

I was completely stock. I didn't lose any apps or contacts. I had to update a lot of settings however. Quadrant score went from 650 to 1150. Lag is gone. GPS is now instantaneous. I don't get freezes twice a day. It's now the phone I thought I was getting in the first place.

Ditto. I am totally stock and didn't lose any apps or contacts. It even had my home pages mostly the way I left them except for widgets. Just had to re-tinker my settings for a few apps and place a few widgets on a couple of screens. Loving it so far.

Same here although I'm hating the updated swype.
