I have been having issues with the uConnect bluetooth in my Jeep. Apparently, the uConnect software has not been updated to deal with BT for newer OS versions (including the iPhone). I have a Nexus 5--unrooted--with Lollipop.
In the car, I have a ProClip bracket that is L shaped. On the top of the L I have the Google Nexus Wireless Charging station stuck on. The phone sticks to the Nexus Charger, with the bottom of the phone resting on the bottom of the L (just for added stability). This car mount has been great.
I use Car Home Ultra for a car mode. I have it set to come on when it connected with the car's bluetooth. The car's bluetooth appears to drop in and out, causing car mode to drop in an out. It is very annoying, especially when I am navigating with Google Maps.
So I got some NFC tags to trigger car mode. I thought that might make the car mode part more reliable.
I have a few questions, though and the usual Google search has not yielded much help.
-- Should I just stick the NFC tag to the Nexus Wireless Charger? Will this cause a constant trigger of the NFC radio? Is that a problem?
-- which task manager do you recommend?
-- How many triggers should I include (i.e., NFC tag + BT + wireless charging?)
-- How do I turn off car mode when I leave the car? I won't necessarily hit the NFC tag again.
In my ideal world, the phone would go into car mode once it hits the tag, and leave car mode when you take it off the tag. I am not certain the NFC will work that way, though.
Anyway, thanks for your help. I am pretty tech savvy, but I am not a programmer and I don't necessarily understand all the syntaxes in Tasker.
