Advice on what I should do now

Hello all,

I has been using v1.2 of the community ROM and loved it very fast and no garbage in it. However once I updated to 1.3 I couldn't use data consistently.

I would sort of work and then stop suddenly. I tried using *228 but that made no change.

So I flash my phone back to stock and let it update ota which took forever because of the flaky data connection.

Once it finished updating all the way nothing had improved so I called Verizon and they reset my phones data connections and advised that I factory reset again.

After all of that the phone still had the same inconsistent data service so they replaced my phone. Which is a little odd because this one as a white bezel but it is growing on me.


So right now the phone is running stock ED03, and it is fast and I've had no issues with it.

But I really did like the community ROM. Should I give that another try or should I try something else?

Absolutely. The 3g Problems are attributed solely to the VZW network. The problems just happened to correspond to the release of ComRom.(It's a long story ). I have next to zero issues with the data connectivity running KB. I do know that KBv2.0 is on the slate to be done before too long, so if you want to wait before you go through the whole data wipe I don't blame you.. I wouldn't delay.. ComRom 1.3 is the fastest Rom ever to be loaded on my device.

Just went through same thing, went back to stock ED03 after VZW sent me a replacement. It did run very well after doing my second ESN swap (think messed first one up). After couple days of testing I have reloaded ComRom 1.3 and it runs better than the stock ED03 and will send the refurb back first of week.

I agree with Lttlwing , go for it.

Ok sounds good to me, going to put the community ROM back on I am hoping it will be awesome with ED03.

I have updated everything up to 1.3 and it's working great.

I also got my screen protector back on with no imperfections, I don't remember where I read this but using a spray bottle to spray water in the air to settle the dust is a must for any one trying to apply screen covers.

Also I have to say I love how my phone re downloaded all of my applications for just because of the feature to save the settings with your Google account.
