After flash ROM, screen password prevents my access the phone

Hi,

I have a rather peculiar problem. I am a noob, have Sprint LG Optimus S ZVD. I installed Flash Image GUI, and used it to install recovery-ra-opts-3.06-gnm.img.

Then I boot into recovery mode by "Volume down + Home + Power". The recovery program came up and I did "nand backup", it went OK.

then I chose "nand restore" and used the only option "clockwork" to restore. It went OK, the phone rebooted well. But it shows a screen lock which I did not remove before I did the flash ROM.

I tried to use my old PIN to unlock the screen, but the phone doesn't take it. I can receive calls, but cannot access it to make calls. I saw the background is changed, so I assume the custom ROM is flashed well and functioning.

I tried to boot into recovery again, it did go to Android System recovery, but this time it did not give me the option to "backup and restore". It appears that it cannot access the microSD card to get to the get the ROM image or recover program.

Please someone give me tips on how to make recovery work. I am comfortable with command line input too.

Thank you very much.

Charlie

Your post makes so very little sense. Where did you get this wacky recovery and what instructions are you following?

It sounds like you don't have access to whatever Recovery you installed anymore to me. What happens when you power on the phone with the power button+Vol down+Home button to access Recovery manually?
