After Bluetooth connected and couple calls made/received there's no audio on calls anymore
Phone: Samsung Galaxy S4 with AT&T
Newest software installed
Issue:
After turning Bluetooth on and pairing a Bluetooth device I can make/take several phone calls and then I can no longer hear the caller nor the caller can hear me. I can disconnect the Bluetooth device, I can turn the Bluetooth off, I can switch to the phone or speaker phone it doesn't matter I can't hear anyone and I can't be heard either. The only way to fix it is to restart the phone.
Troubleshooting steps taken:
1. Tested with 4 different Bluetooth devices - no change the same behavior
2. Cleared the phone cache - no change the same behavior
3. Cleared applications defaults - no change the same behavior
4. Restored the phone to factory settings (yes I wiped it clean and restored from Kies 3 backup) - no change the same behavior
5. Got a warranty replacement phone from AT&T, restored the phone from backup - no change the same behavior
6. Wiped the replacement phone clean (factory reset) and WITHOUT setting up email or installing any of my apps to rule out app causing the issue I tested with 2 different Bluetooth devices - no change the same behavior
Just to add to it, my wife has exactly the same model of Galaxy S4 with the same version of OS and hers works fine with hers Bluetooth device.
Strange behavior for sure. 2 out of 3 Galaxy phones I currently have at home. Still have the ATT replacement for the next couple of days.
I am not sure if I need to add it, but Samsung Support was useless (again).
Anyone else experiencing this? Or experienced this and has a fix?
Thanks,
Art
