After Oreo the "draw" option while editing photos from gallery is worse.

There used to be more options. The one that I particularly miss is the highlighter. I would use it all the time while checking invoices at work.

Why would they remove this?

I've never used it, but I just checked on my Note 8 in the gallery and I have the highlighter, and I have Oreo for 2 days now.

Just noticed this myself on my Note 8. Not happy about it. The same old options are still available for screen write, but different for drawing on gallery images. I too used to use the highlighter all the time. Also, selection of custom colors is limited, and no dropper option (I like to use a bright mint color sometimes, but can't even get close now). Might switch to a different gallery app and hope for the best.

All those options are available in Photo Editor Pro within the stock gallery.

I loved this feature too, but it looks like they moved it. I see mhunter's response, but, I didn't know what that meant. I thought I needed to download another app. With the pic open in Gallery, select options (the 3 dots) and select "open in photo editor pro". From there, "decoration", then "draw", then "pen". Now, here are the old options we once had in stock Gallery app. It sucks that now, it's so many more clicks to get to the same thing that only took one or two.
