To save battery I have the tilt to display and always on features disabled, so that I need to touch the screen to turn it on. A couple of weeks ago, I received updates to Android Wear, Zenwatch Manager, the Zenwatch firmware, and Watchmaker all at about the same time. Now I notice that I usually - but not always - have to touch the screen twice to make it display. I have tried restarting the watch, to no avail. If it did it all the time I would say it is a feature to avoid accidental touches turning on the display. Maybe the times it only takes once it had been accidentally touched? Anyone else seeing this?

I leave my always on engaged and tilt to wake off, however I haven't noticed this yet. Maybe I'm just not paying close enough attention tho. I'll keep an eye on mine and see what it does.

I remember receiving all those same updates as you mentioned above on my ZenWatch as well. So I think I'm on the same version here.

I think I might be experiencing something similar. It will wake up with a single touch for awhile, then go back to not waking up at all. I have to use the button on the right underside to get it to work, and then it behaves normally while awake. It's periodic and I thought maybe it was because of residue on the screen, but it'll still keep acting funky after a thorough wipedown.

I'll try double tapping more after I run into this and see if that it more consistent. I guess I'd actually like such a feature if it were selectable, since my 4 month old daughter keeps turning on my watch and somehow magically turning off my notifications and trying to change my watch face when I hold her.
