After Verizon Nougat upgrade, No notification bar

After installing the Verizon Nougat upgrade yesterday, the notification bar at the top ("Verizon Wireless", bluetooth status, Wifi, 4G status, battery indicator, etc) goes away once I log in. I can't find any obvious setting for this. any ideas?

pull the notification bar down. below it is notification settings. u can click on the all apps, or select only the apps u wish to receive notifications for.
