i know this might sound like a dumb question but am i the only one who doesn't take advantage of ai stuff on phone or what

i guess in a way just don't really care much about ai stuff the now bar i careless

I don't specifically use it either, and think at least half of it is all over blown about.

Not much to very little. I honestly don't need or use it in my day to day life. Assistant was more than enough for me.

I use it a bit. I use the ai writing sometimes when I'm emailing and I also like using the ai drawing stuff more for fun every now and again. I definitely have not used it all yet but I like that it's there.

I hardly use it and Gemini is not as good as Google assistant, yet I read that Google is dropping Google assistant. Their Google assistant barely held a candle to Siri, and they want to replace it with something that works less.

I tell people don't buy the S25U for AI, it's overrated, it's something you will play with and probably not use much if ever

And don't specifically buy any phone right now just because of how it might be marketed for its AI, in my opinion. If two phones are otherwise pretty much equal in all aspects, then in my opinion maybe (maybe) the differences between their "AI" or their "assistant" or their "automation" offerings, could potentially be another deciding factor. For me however, right now it doesn't come into consideration.

I use Google Assistant and Gemini. I also use circle search a lot it has been a great tool for me personally. I also use the photo editing AI tools. I have used some of the writing tools but not too much.
I think some of the biggest AI gains are in the nuts and bolts of the software and behind the scenes. AI helps optimize battery and One UI 7 efficiencies.

A lot. However I don't like that the built in screen selector (holding home and then selecting something) auto searches Google. Sometimes I just want the damn thing to copy say a tracking number without feeding it to Google.

Gemini is an idiot, paid tier isn't any better. I still can't comprehend how Google fell so far that it made Bixby look like a world class masterpiece. First they crippled assistant to get people to try Gemini, then they kill (typical Google) what previously worked and replace it with something broken.

Between GPT and Bixby, really the only two I use now.

Next phone will likely be another Samsung unless they keep spooning Google and killing Samsung features. If that's the case I have to go back to the days of custom ROMs which is equally dread and excitement.

.

Perfectly said.

Not necessarily. I know people that just talk on the phone, the want nothing to do with anything else.
If you use Google, you are almost forced to use it's insufferable AI summary. I have it turned off everywhere and if it weren't for "blockers" I'd be forced to see it every day without choice.

Also more indirect, where logic based scripting or rudimentary code were used in the past on the backend of things like sorting Gmail I guanrtee Google is using AI.
But I'm getting more into semantics than the direct question I guess.

I get that, they literally do nothing but talk on the phone. They don't do email, texting, Internet. They pretty much have all those apps deleted and basically operate in safe mode.

They are older people obviously and with carriers getting less support for dumb phones and their eyesight getting worse they get a cheap smart phone for the bigger display.

Other then that I agree with you, but I also think a lot of what they call AI now is just a name change for a lot of features.
