AI replaces object instead of removing

Took a picture of a poster and tried using AI to remove it instead of object eraser. Thought it would just remove the object and paint the wall the same color. It replaces the poster with a different object. Have tried it a few times and keep getting different objects.

Maybe try telling the AI to paint over the poster the same colour as the wall?
Magic eraser does work surprisingly well for something like that though.

I made an identical post on another forum today. Apparently you need to use the object removal tool and not the generative AI.
When you click on Edit, it’s the 4 circle icon on the right.

Been using the object removal tool. Just thought it was interesting the AI generative removal would put a different object in its place.
