Airbuds don't work for line phone calls only

[Android Central Question]

My airpods used to work for line. I have 2 sets of blue tooth ear buds. A knock off and airpods. Both used to connect to all calls. Now they'll both connect to all calls except for line (phone, fb messenger, whatsapp, etc)(theywork for all media). I have reset my phone, paired and unpaired ear buds. Nothing. This forum is for Android I can tell. But I'm checking to see if anyone else managed to resolve this

On your s21fe in notifications panel long press the Bluetooth icon this will take u to Bluetooth settings , now tap the gear icon should see option for calls?

Welcome to Android Central! To be clear, these are Apple Airpods, or some kind of Airpods knockoffs?

Have you already tried forgetting the earbuds from the phone's Bluetooth (and resetting the earbuds, if there's a way to do that -- check the manual), and then going through the pairing process again?
