Airplane Mode Nook Color

Hey guys,

I have a rooted nook color. I have a site running locally and run it in the browser in offline mode. I am prompted to choose a wifi network at every click.

Here's what I've tried so far:

1.) Turned off wifi via the nook standard settings menu
AND
2.) Turned off location services

Is there a way via Android settings to put it into airplane mode?

replying to my own post. the bn browser prompts at every click. using a different one (dolphin and ff) did the trick.
