I have noticed on several occasions that after turning Airplane mode on and off some programs go wonky like the weather widgets it maybe a bug. May I suggest always rebooting the phone after having it in Airplane mode to assure proper operation of all functions.

I don't think this is necessary... my phone goes into Airplane mode every night (my do not disturb sign)... and it wakes up just fine every morning.

I don't think rebooting is necessary every time either but I too have noticed some lag and unusual connectivity issues.

I use airplane mode several times throughout the day and also do not have the greatest signal where I work. So when I turn airplane mode off and it tries to connect, it doesn't always perform so great.

Only once has it caused a BT issue, where it would not connect to my vehicle.

Occasionally a reboot is necessary.

Are you doing this manually or did u find a way to turn airplane off automatically? I need to find an automatic way to turn it off via a timer. Thanks.

Timer, no... some type of scheduler, yes... I downloaded Timeriffic from the Market... I had been using something called Ring Scheduler, but heard of Timeriffic from a thread here on AC... it controls Airplane mode, Ringer, Vibrate, Mute, Wifi and many more things. You can schedule changes by day of the week and time of the day. Great for my workweek schedule and setting a different set for weekend... mainly to let me sleep without any messages, and I can change it to just silent vise airplane mode if I want... seems very flexible... and it's free.
