Airvana related question

So my family and I were given an airvana by sprint and while it increases signal and voice quality, it cuts off all sound coming from the other end of the call. They can hear us just fine but we get nothing back. I've tried a new router, modem, moving the modem to a new room, taping the GPS to the window, and just about anything else I can think of. Has anyone had this issue and if so is there a way to fix it?

Sorry to hear yours is not working right. I just got my airave yesterday and so far so good. I've noticed the call quality is very good and if the person on the other end isn't speaking the silence sounds like the call dropped, but it didn't, LOL. I guess I'll have to get used to it.

I had that same problem years ago. In my case, it only happened when I was downloading my torrents. You only get a certain amount of bandwidth from your ISP. If you are maxing it out, there's no room left for the voice calls. I specifically remember having to pause my downloads when my phone rang.
I think that issue went away when I switched to Verizon Fios. (I used to have comcast (Xfinity)
You may need to bump up the speed of your ISP to fix this. ie.. if you pay for 5mbps speeds, you may need to bump it up to 10 if possible

I had to put the airvana between the modem and the router to get it to work correctly. Mine works like a champ.

I installed mine behind my Linksys router on the DMZ. I also added its MAC address to the QoS and gave the device "high" priority. The calls are so clear that when the other person stops talking it sounds like the call dropped, LOL. I'm very happy with it so far.

I want one :o
