The last couple of days Ive notice my alarm does not work, but when I unplug from charging and test, it does work. I also researched on other Androids, and found that maybe I am doing an APP killer on the alarm? Im not sure if this is just me, or what? I do have Alarm UNchecked for app killer, all options are turned on, and everything is set to ring...not sure if its the charging that is messing it up or what? Any ideas would be great!

Where do you have your phone resting when you sleep? If it is on something soft, like cloth, then most likely the sound is being muffled. I woke up to my alarm vibrating this morning, but not ringing, but when I picked it up, the sound was there. I had it laying next to me on my bed. I tapped the screen to snooze and 10 mins later, it did the same thing. When I snoozed it again and put the phone on my end table, which is glass, the alarm sound and vibrate came through very clear.

make sure that ur settings is:
-Alarm in Silent Mode is checked
-Alarm Volume is max setting

now click the alarm, in that setting choose this:
-Turn on Alarm
-Volume "Use Increasing Volume" uncheck that if you cant hear your alarm

Why do people insist on using task killers. YOU DONT NEED ONE!

Remove the app killer. That is your first mistake. Then check your settings and don't lay it flat. The alarm is to soft for my taste. I need atleast a 120db to wake me up.

I would download and install sound manager. It is possible the sound was set to silent. Sound manager will provide the ability to check and change settings if necessary.

buy a moto home dock and a surround sound for ur bed room-
that would wake you up :p

I lay the phone on my glass bedside table, and the sound is loud enough to wake me up. Ive had the phone since opening day, and it WAS working great, but if I remember correctly, I was not charging the X during the night when I first got it. The past week I have been, and the alarm is not sounding. It as if there is no alarm AT ALL. Trust me, I know what I am doing, and the alarm is ON, but its not working when its plugged. The sound is NOt the issue, the flatness is not the issue, clicking here or checking here, is also not the issue. Alarm time comes and goes with no visible change that acknowledges my alarm even exist?

thanks a million, and I dont mean to sound strict, but to figure this out, I need to make sure the information is consistant....

I generally don't need an alarm because I get up pretty early. That's why it's funny to see this post today, because I used the alarm until this morning. My wife had to get up super early, so she set up the alarm on her X, and I set mine up (on the dock) as a back up. Hers must have gone off, because she was up when my X went off as scheduled. I had it set up to use both tones and vibration. I looked over and the display was white with a red slider at the bottom to dismiss the alarm. Pretty cool.
