Alarm only sounds at night?

Newbie user here:

Is there an easy way (or even not so easy) to turn off all sounds except the alarm clock at night? I use my GS III as an alarm clock, but I can't figure out an easy way to disable sounds I use during the day. During the day, I need the sound or vibration to let me know I have a work email, but at 3 am when an email comes in from India, I don't care quite so much.

Any suggestions or advice will be greatly appreciated--thanks!

LightFlow works well for this too. Set a sleep time span and it will silence everything it's controlling. Don't let it control the alarm app and the alarm will sound. Recent change allows you to override sleep for specific contacts SMS and Gmail--that's allowed me to simplify several things.
