Alarm/side button question

I use my TBolt as a daily alarm for work. But you have the option to set the side buttons to act as a snooze button, dismiss the alarm, or nothing. I've set the side buttons to dismiss the alarm (shut it off) several times but then everytime my alarm goes off... the side buttons either do nothing or function as a snooze. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
