Album Art all messed up

For some reason the album art for one of my songs has been copied to numerous songs.

I added "Like a G6" to my HTC, and it had an album art, and afterward, like 100 of the songs had the same album art of "Like a G6."

I tried to remove the album art for the song, but all the others still remained.

How do I fix this? WHy does it happen as well?

Any issues I've ever had with album art have always been something on the pc software side. In other words, your music may be tagged in such a way that whatever software you're using will display everything properly, but won't transfer to other programs, and definitely not your phone or mp3 player. I'm not well versed on tagging technology, but I think there's different versions of tagging, some more universal than older ones?

Sometimes, if some of my music has had any missing tag info, or shares a certain tag label with other music, my phone or mp3 player will just start combining info across them, which tells me I have to straighten some tags out.
