Albums aren’t preserved when syncing gallery to one drive?

Hi, in the stock gallery app it forces me to sync with one drive. But when I open one drive on my Razer laptop, the photos aren’t in albums like on the phone.

All the photos appear to be there but they aren’t in the albums I created. Is there a way to fix this?

Generally when you sync photos to Google photos or OneDrive or Amazon photos etc your albums don't sync. That metadata is only local to the gallery app and OneDrive doesn't know anything about that. As you mentioned just photos sync. If you want to create albums, going forward you can create in OneDrive directly. Don't think there is a way for you to sync the existing albums.

Personally, I just use search feature on Google photos or OneDrive to look up photos. I can search a place or known person or a year/month/day and it'll pull the corresponding photos.
