Same thing happened to me. The system stopped recognizing the SD card that had been working perfectly for 9 months. At first I was willing to hobble along, but within days I had some 50 app updates that couldn't install because there isn't enough disk space.

By connecting to my PC I was able to recover recently created photo files before reinstalling (reformatting) the disk. Seemed to work for a day, but now I'm getting the message "Lexar SD card missing." The card hasn't gone anywhere. The phone wants to reformat to reinstall again. I'm at a loss.

I've tried emailing the Alcatel folks (a couple of times) but I've gotten no response. If they don't check their email, I don't even know how to give them feedback that there is a problem.

Unfortunately it will be no time at all before my onboard memory is full again with no place to expand to.

Suggestions welcome.

Just picked up my Idol 3 5.5" and upgraded to 6.0.1 and appear stable.
I'm in Canada and had mine shipped from USA new and unlocked. Cheers.

Have 6.0.1 on both my Idol 4, and my Idol 3. No problems on either phone. I can install quite a few apps on the SD card on both phones. Not all of them, but about 1/3 of them. Plenty of movies and pictures also.
