All Media Randomly Pausing

It's driving me nuts. All searches on Google seem to point to S6 and S7 issues and no G5, some of the resolutions suggested are just not working.

All media, Youtube, Google Music, Google Movies, Amazon Music, Prime Video, Netflix, anything that plays music or video just pauses randomly. Absolutely no pattern to it.

Please help. I am trying to avoid a factory reset, besides from what I've read this only makes the problem disappear or a small amount of time.

Thanks.

Welcome to Android Central! Does this happen only when headphones are plugged in?

This has been happening to me for 2ish months as well, with and without my ear buds. It's frustrating. If I go back 10 seconds sometimes that'll momentarily fix it. Sometimes restarting the video will momentarily fix it. But no permanent fix.

The sound of the video will keep playing but the screen freezes. It'll take 5+ seconds for the screen to respond to my trying to pause/exit the app.

Every single time this happens those data arrows in the wifi or mobile data icons (depending on which one is being used) are both there, not blinking on and off, just stuck there until I exit everything and leave my phone alone, to "catch up" I guess.

I would normally suggest a cache partition wipe, but LG doesn't let the user do that.:-\
