Hi all, I am on a droid turbo 2 and when I transfer media--whether it's video, audio or text files--it will either stay on the card or (more often than not) completely disappear. It doesn't make any difference if I use android file transfer, handshaker or even bluetooth (!), the result is the same. I use a 512Gb class 10 card and have reformatted 3x now (in the phone) and have tested it with a few different diagnostics but they all read it as OK. I tried another, smaller card with the same results. Please help!! This is driving me absolutely nuts.

PS, my phone cannot be rooted if that makes a difference.

If you put the SD card in another device, can it see those files that disappeared?

Also, where did you get the card from? Counterfeit cards are common, especially if you didn't buy the card from a major retailer.

That's only on full-sized SD cards, isn't it? I've never seen a lock switch on a microSD.
I look up class 10 it shows some with lock, but yeah I thought also full sized cards .

Can they get locked in the adapter it comes with before inserting in the device?Screenshot_20201031-232837_Amazon%20Shopping.jpeg

Thanks guys, but it doesn't have a lock and and now it will take text files (e-books) but audio and video is still a problem. If they don't disappear, then they are un playable. Aaaannnd, I don't have another device to try and my computer doesn't recognize it.

And, sorry, I should have been clearer that it is a Micro SD card :)

You have an older phone, so this app should work -- it can tell you if the card is truly what it says it is: SD Insight
