All memos have disappeared from my phone

[Android Central Question]

I transferred over all my data and apps to a new phone yesterday, and my memos transferred along with it. I had them this morning, but now the memo tool is blank, and it is also blank on my old phone. Does anyone know what happened or how I can restore them?

I'm not talking about S Notes, or whatever the Samsung note app is called, but just that ordinary memo tool that comes with your phone.
