all of a sudden dictation problem

Greetings!
I have a Moto X running V5.1 and I have been using speech typing for years. However, in the last few weeks, whenever I say "comma" or "exclamation point" it types out the words rather than the symbols. Only doing this recently. Any idea what happened, and how I can fix it?

Its a 2nd gen Moto X. No system updates that I know of.

This is all from the About Phone screen. I don't know if this would be useful

Are you using Google Keyboard or some other keyboard app?

Is it up to date in Google Play? Also, go to Settings>Language & Input>Google Voice Typing​, and make sure the default language is English (US).
