I was waiting to get my Droid X in by next week because i thought Verizon would have them available by next week, but now i go to verizon's websites and i see that the Droid X will ship by 8/11 WTF? Phone has been out 2 weeks and the date has been pushed back 5 times already

They seem to be shipping them about a week prior to whatever they are posting on their website. I'm not saying they will continue doing that, but that's what's been going on the past few weeks. So if you order today, you could possibly get it by end of next week.

If you order it online, you'll probably get it faster than the said date.

Many people here, and one of my friends also, ordered online and got their phone within 5-6 days of the order date, regardless of the "Ship by" August date of the VZW website.

What day did you place your order? CarbonOak is right, online will probably go faster.

I placed an order on 07/20 that was suppose to ship on 08/03 and it shipped on 07/22 and got here 07/23. I'd take my chances ordering online if I were you.

The iPhone is STILL on backorder (despite what AT&T says) .... I think it's reasonable that the DX is still having fulfillment issues considering it has been out for only 2 weeks.

If you can't order online you're gonna have to wait a while prolly I signed up to be on the waiting list at my local store the day of launch and then ordered online on Friday. Got my phone the next week. The store still hasn't gotten their shipment in yet.

Guys...why is this hard. The date on the website is for people who are thinking about ordering today. If you ordered in the past, the date that was posted at the time of your order is the date to expect your phone to ship buy. Think of it this way...people who are looking to order a Droid X in September aren't going to get an 8/3 ship date either...

Have you ordered at all? If you haven't ordered then you can expect the ship date to always be later the longer you wait. If you ordered at a store then I'd expect it to ship out at or around the date that was on the website.

I ordered my replacement phone on Monday evening 7/26 and was told it would ship on 8/4 (date shown on the website at the time). Received shipment notification yesterday to be delivered today 7/30 before 3pm.

A think most people are receiving them earlier than the date on their site.

Lol eff this it now says 8/18 when i go to the website, i'm going to buy it online next week because i don't the money right now. I wonder how long the shipping date will be by that time. Anywho im going into my last year of college so HOORAY just 1 more year of all the hard work.

When i ordered mine on 7/17 I received it the next week. It's important to note that when I called an ordered it on the phone that it said 7/28 ship date. I received it on the 23rd.
