well as of a little after midnight alldroid is gone no were to be found. closed if you like the work of a dev find it at another site.

Yep but the bad thing is the rom that could have put them on the map was their ultimate downfall

Wow, all over a ROM? One of the best themes I ever seen was from that site and it had nothing to do with them. They should have at least kept it up for he communities sake.

OK I didn't post the full story it has a lot more to so than just the zd team the owner has been trying to sell the site for over a week I have no idea what pushed him to just close it though I know He hasn't been active in the community for a little bit.life goes on most devs spread between df and some opened up merely-droid.net

I guess I did not know what was going on over there... I only recently started to frequent that site because of the BBv1.0. Oh well.

Hope the new site does not become another concentration camp.

Doubtful its some of the mods and devs that hated what was going on at alldroid started it up. those that caused the drama haven't joined and I doubt they will be part of it

Realistically at this point, do you even think we need a site dedicated to ROM's? Since Koush released ROM Manager, I can honestly say I have never checked anything besides the application. All load-worthy ROM's make it into the application, and its so easy to try them out and if you dont like it you can switch right back to the one you had.

I dont think forums for it are needed, plus cyanogen keeps a friendly forum, and droidforums is still popular.

Really were do you go when you have issues want to know what a ROM includes etc in my book Rom manager is good gives you no info on a ROM or even a screen shot everyone can say to the death of forums. Like that bit they serve their purpose

I press the menu, and then go to homepage, and it will take me to the homepage of where the ROM was posted. Most of them take you to cyanogen forums, or droidforums anyway.

And that's the big thing devs or new comers need somewhere to learn get support and other things Droid forums is great cyanogen is great but their is a need or a want for the android that are about hacking and that's it

I don't know if alldroid was sold or not but their forum is back up. It looks different but it still loads up. There aren't many posts either.

Apparently Brent (site admin) blogged something about it last night that someone else was taking over, but none of the old content was to be brought back...

IDK, its all way to much drama that is completely not necessary. People should just want to do things to help out, not to be shady, or need the center of attention. Everyone @ alldroid needed to relax, and take a step back anyways.

Yes they brought it back the old owner is gone and will have nothing to do with it some of the old admin will run it hopefully the drama subsides

It should be better. Someone had a power trip over there. That someone is now gone. I will check it out sometime this year (I promise).
