Always on Display AOD not working[Solved]

I want the clock to display on my phone when it's charging on my nightstand. I want to be able to glance up and see the time without having to touch the phone. I have the Always on Display feature enabled, but the phone screen just goes black when charging.

After you turn on always display, there are options like tap to show, tap to schedule and show always. Did you tap the show always.

You were right James!
I enabled AOD, but didn't 'tap' it afterwards to configure the other settings you mentioned.
Now it's working.
