Always on Display Issue

The always on display does not stay on all the time. I have the setting to stay on, but periodically I will have to wake up the phone which defeats the purpose. I have tried setting the scheduled time but that does not help. I even did a factory reset, same issue.

This feature doesn't mean that your screen will always be on. But if your mobile feels a soft jerk then the screen will get automatically on without touching on the screen.

When is it off? Are three any unique situations?

Mine goes off when I turn it screen down. I think that's the only time. Low light causes a very dim AOD on mine, it almost looks off.
