Always on display + notifications

Is there a way to get the Always On Display text or email notifications or do I have to go to my lock screen, I use Textra as my texting app.

Always on display only shows notifications from the stock android apps from Samsung. Weird, I know.

AOD can only display notifications using stock sms and email app. Other than that, no go.

Thank you, I switched from Textra to the Samsung app, not anywhere as nice an app as Textra but I need the notifications on my Always On feature.

Nope, there are no notifications for email, even with the stock samsung email app. Just missed calls and texts.

Yup...loving the AOD with the notifications. Another great Sammy move. Good to be back from my LG break.
